Hello Everyone,

I wanted to get things up to date with everyone as to what has been going on:

Santa Rosa, California Trip

Pastor Troy and I traveled to Santa Rosa this past weekend and hooked up with UGO4GOD (http://www.ugo4god.com/) Ministries and also Street Wise Ministries. We did an outreach on Saturday in a hispanic gang area that was awesome.

Twenty-five percent of the murders that occur in Santa Rosa take place on the street where we held the outreach. We set up grills in the turn around circle and spread tarps with clothes on them and then started going around to all the apartments inviting the people to the BBQ.

As I was walking around three hispanic gang members came over a 6 foot fence. They did not see me right away so I yelled to them, they looked at me like, what do you want white boy? I said, were having a BBQ and we would like you guys to come over and get something to eat. They kind of blew me off and started to walk away when the Holy Spirit gave me a question for them. I said to them "hey guys before you leave I have a question for you", then I said, "if you guys were to die today would you go to heaven or hell"?

Individually they all laughed and replied that they would go to hell. A felt the holy spirit rise up in me and I replied as I walked closer and pointed to them "you know that's not ok with me", I am a street minister and I don't think any of you know what you are saying!" I then started telling them about that place called "hell". When I finished I could tell that they were very uncomfortable and wanting to get away from me.

I said "guys, I would really like to talk to you some more so why don't you come over and get something to eat". They replied maybe later and walked off. I thought that would be the last time that I would see them. About one hour later they came over to the BBQ and shortly after that we were all holding hands as the Lord gave me the privledge of leading them in the sinners prayer.

Please pray for Sergio, Edgar, and Jose. Edgar told one of our team that he dropped out of school because he feared that he would be shot just trying to get to school. I was also able to lead an older gentleman by the name of Louis to the Lord. So the trip was well worth it and I also was blessed to hook up with many other like-minded street preachers.

Mardi Gras (February 24-28)

Our meeting dates for Mardi Gras will be Saturday January 21st then all the other will be on Friday evenings @ 6:00 p.m. (we will have a total of 5 meetings prior to leaving for New Orleans) We will let you know soon on the locations. Please try your best to attend all the meetings.
