Our next outreach (the only one for February) will be the 11th. We will leave at 9:00 a.m. and return somewhere between 3 and 5 p.m.
Last weeks outreach was awesome! We had Steve and Jodi Ignowski, Steve's mom Jeri Ignowski, Michele Ware and Ashley Clemens. Each one of us was truly blessed to see the Lord work in these peoples lives.
More than the food, they were prayed over for restoration in their lives, they were prayed over to be set free of the addictions that are holding them down. They were shown the love of God and that's what is important! I know that Jesus had a smile on his face. We did our part and now we continue to pray for them as God touches them.
Matthew 25:40 - And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of he least (in the estimation of men) of these My brethren, you did it for Me.
It is all about Jesus and serving Him, what a joy that is! I look forward to doing outreaches like I looked at sports in the past. In our lives today we need to look at what eternal value is attached to what we are doing. For Eileen and I (and many of the team) if it does not have eternal value attached to it we don't have much use for it.
Our needs continue to be met to do the outreaches but the Lord came to me early last Sunday morning and said to step it up. What He ment by that is we are not to have the people standing to eat. We are to feed them the way He would feed them! We are to serve them the way He would serve them!
Now I have to tell you about something that really touched our hearts. One of the teachers where I work (her name is Rhoda, husband Ron) is going through treatment for cancer. She has been prayed over and I believe in the name of Jesus that she is healed!!!!
Here is a list of thing that we are still believing for. Please keep in mind that these are things that have come to us through prayer and time with God to make the ministry more efficient:
A fifteen passenger van (I have said in the past that I have already seen it, white with all of our ministry information painted on it).
A cargo trailer decked out the same way.
A charcoal grill (of course), already picked out at Sam's, it's large and it will meet the need that we have. Price: $225.00
We haven't priced the cookware that we need yet, but we need large non stick cookware. We are getting ready to go to Atlas Restaurant Supplies to check things out.
I have to tell you that sleeping bags are like handing our $100 bills to the homeless, we never have enough.
We still need winter gloves, hats, scarves, large winter coats, and winter boots.
Anyone that is interested in going on the 11th please contact us as soon as possible.
I also want to thank Carlin and Jaimie Yoder for stepping up with a loaner 15 passenger van until we get ours. You guys are a blessing!!!! I know that Eileen, Steve or Jodi will notice something that I left out but we will catch that next time!
God Bless You All!
And thanks so much for helping to send us!
Please also pray for our Mardi Gras Outreach in New Orleans coming up February 24-28th.
