CHICAGO OUTREACH - SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 11TH

Needles are common in the homeless areas.
Can you imagine living in these conditions??? It is cold, damp, and dirty under the expressways. This picture is near Roosevelt Road under the expressway as your traveling toward O'Hare.
This shot is Lower Wacker Drive, the people were lined up through this area. We seen many of the same faces as last winter.
The only thing between the concrete and the homeless person is a sheet of cardboard. Some come in during the winter and get high then end up not covering themselves and they get frostbitten. One man lost all of his toes two years ago.
This is a picture near Roosevelt Rd. also. This person would be considered to be "well off" among the homeless.
