Cold Day In Chicago!!!

It was a cold day in Chicago this past Saturday. We had a team of 21 that hit the streets and there were not many homeless to be found and that is a good thing! We ran across one at our first stop (above) and fed and equipped him the best that we could. The ones that we did see were very happy to get new heavy blankets! You wouldn't understand unless you could see the joy for yourself as you look in their eyes.
We had a number of students from the different Crossing Alternative Schools. Many were touched to see the living coniditions that people live in.
The team works to get all the clothes in order.
There were many more beds than people. We believe that some of them made it into the homeless shelters.
Two homeless ladies, Latisha and one of her friends getting clothes and eating chicken & noodles.
Our next trip will be the Christmas Outreach on the 16th. We are giving them a full blown dinner and hoping to take mostly new items such as sleeping bags, coats, hats, gloves, boots, etc.
