DETROIT OUTREACH

The outreach in Detroit was awesome. The bad thing was that we ran out of food in less than 1 1/2 hours.
We had:close to 30 lbs of pork bbq
15 lbs of macaroni salad
3 cases chips
4 cases of pop
1 case of water
6 doz. donuts

This is the first time we have ever ran completely out of everything. We will have a back-up plan in place so that does not happen again. It is tough to tell someone that is hungry that we do not have anymore.

We were in a area called the Cass Corridor. I had already seen the vision of where we would be and as Bill turned the corner onto Cass I saw exactly where we needed to be. There were not many people in the area when we arrived but in no time we had a long line of people. The people were prayed over and had hands laid on them for healing and some asked for deliverance from crack and alcohol. There were 11 of us on the team and I believe we were all as blessed as the people receiving.

We will be going back to Detroit on May 13th if anyone is interested. We will be driving our van and hopefully we will be pulling a cargo trailer by then also. Eileen and I thank all the Detroit people for their hospitality and for hooking up with us on what we believe was the first of many trips to Detroit.
